BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A fairly quiet pattern will remain in place for a couple more days before another August cool front delivers a return of good rain chances.

WEDNESDAY FORECAST

No significant changes are expected, with a mainly dry morning giving way to a 20%-30% rain chance during the afternoon. It may be a touch less hot for some, with highs in the low 90s instead of the mid 90s.

WEEKEND COOL FRONT

Significant model differences continue to show up in the handling of a weekend cool front. We have moderate to high confidence in good rain chances from Friday into early Saturday. Beyond that, a lot depends on the southward progression of the front.
