Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin easily won a third term on Tuesday, garnering more than 74 percent of the vote, far ahead of a crowded field of challengers.

Woodfin took the stage at WorkPlay to declare victory at 10 p.m., although the blowout was clear from early in the night.

“The work isn’t done,” Woodfin said. “The next chapter is about finishing what we started and pushing it further.”

With 99 percent of the vote in, Woodfin had 24,559 votes for 74.87 percent.

Lashunda Scales ran second with 4,781 votes, or 14.5 percent.

Juandalynn Givan had 1,395 votes for 4.2 percent.

Frank Woodson had 999 votes for 3 percent.

Brian Rice had 650 votes for 1.98 percent.

Kamau Afrika had 106 votes for 0.3 percent.

Jerimy Littlepage had 189 votes for 0.58 percent.
