COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado Springs Utilities will host a virtual community check-in on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. to provide updates on its Sustainable Energy Plan.

The Springs Utilities Board approved the Sustainable Energy Plan in 2020. It includes a portfolio of projects and programs aimed at reducing carbon emissions, managing long-term costs and maintaining reliability, according to officials.

Springs Utilities will cover the progress made in the plan, including the closure of Martin Drake Plant in 2023 and the addition of renewable and natural gas generation sources.
