John Choate

John Keith Choate, age 60, of Brady, Texas, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at his residence in Brady. John was born on February 1, 1965, in Anaheim, California, to Lanny Derrril Choate and Diana (Fowler) Choate. John was raised a Catholic and grew up in and graduated high school in McAlester, Oklahoma. As a young adult, he was severely injured in an automobile accident that left him disabled. Even with his physical limitations, he worked as a sales associate for Kirby Vacuum Cleaners for several years. He was a very generous and caring individual. He was very proud of his Choctaw Indian heritage, which he instilled in his sons. He told them about his great-grandfather, who had to lie about his heritage, because the railroad would not allow Indians to work there. He was a fun, lovin
