QUINCY (WGEM) - A rising national trends of senior citizens renting properties has more senior-living facilities being constructed in Quincy.
According to a study from the Apartment Owners Association of America, over the last decade, seniors have led the charge for age groups renting.
In Quincy, the trend is prevalent with more and more properties, strictly for seniors to rent, have been constructed.
“We only have a few properties that aren’t rented. We’re seeing it trend that way,” said Assistant Development Director Nathan Halfpap at The Good Samaritan Home.
The Good Samaritan Home currently has 184 units under its control. Halfpap explained many seniors that are renting from The Good Samaritan Home are not renting due to financial strains. Instead, many renters simply want convenie
