JEFFERSON, S.D. (KCAU) — While fall is still several weeks away, recent temperatures have gotten plenty of people in the seasonal spirit; what screams fall more than a good old pumpkin, which officials say has good prospects this year.

After talking with Dan Trudeau, a South Dakota pumpkin farmer, he said this has been one of their best years yet for growing gourds.

"It's been really good. We've had a lot of rain, much more than the last couple of years. So the pumpkin crop should look really, really good. Lots of pumpkins, lots of variety," said Dan Trudeau, part-owner of 'Adele's Cat Pumpkin Patch'.
