GLENDALE, Ky. — Workers at the BlueOval SK (BOSK) battery plant in Hardin County spent two days voting on whether to join the United Auto Workers (UAW).

The vote was held the week after the plant officially began production, but the push to unionize started back in November 2024 .

Workers said they wanted job security and a safer work environment .

In the tiny town of Glendale, just two minutes up the road from the battery plant, businesses are happy with the profits brought by the plant.
