A 19-year-old man was arrested early Friday morning after reportedly being caught spray painting graffiti on the walls of a Waterford Township gas station.

Police officers patrolling on foot found the teen behind the Citgo station at 6011 Williams Lake Rd. at around 1 a.m., and said he was holding a can of spray paint and fresh graffiti was on the building’s walls. The teen was taken into custody, and four cans of spray paint were recovered, according to the Waterford Police Department. Possible charges are pending.

This type of graffiti is malicious destruction of property, police said.
