THE New York Jets have suffered a devastating injury blow just days before the start of the season.

The Jets' offensive line had been thought to be one of their strengths heading into the 2025 NFL season.

However, a serious injury to Alijah Vera-Tucker could severely hamper them this year.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that Vera-Tucker suffered a significant arm injury in practice.

The linesman could require surgery, sources told the reporter.

But he will receive a second opinion.

Vera-Tucker has previously missed significant periods in two of his four NFL seasons because of injuries.

He missed 10 games in 2022 with a torn triceps and 12 games in 2023 because of a torn Achilles.
