FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - After a cold front crossed last night and brought some rain showers, we are cooler and dry today. After those rain showers, we will stay dry through the rest of the week. As conditions stay dry, the issue has started to become more apparent over the last few weeks. Moderate drought conditions return to 21Country as most of the area is now considered “Abnormally Dry”. Only about half an inch of rain fell last night which probably won’t change the drought conditions as no rain showers are expected from now until next week.
As we stay dry, temperatures stay cool throughout the rest of the week and the weekend. Highs stay about 10 degrees below average between the upper 60s and low 70s. Expect a warmup to arrive towards the middle of next week.
