FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Staying cool and sunny today, but you might notice that hazy skies have returned today. That is from wildfire smoke moving in from the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. It shouldn’t have an impact on the air quality and should move out for the weekend. It will make for a nice, but windy night tonight for high school football. Winds calm down by Sunday leading to a nice and cool weekend.

I want to give you the First Alert to a few things to expect next week. First of all, temperatures will stay cool into the day on Monday with highs in the lower 70s. After that, we heat up throughout the middle of the week with highs that could reach back into the 80s.
