FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Cool weather sticks around through the weekend, but we’ll see a gradual warm up as we get into next week.

Friday afternoon high temperatures will only be a couple degrees warmer than Thursday, getting into the low 70s. Conditions will be dry on Friday, but we’ll see a bit of haze in the sky thanks to wildfire smoke, but that should clear the area during the afternoon as a second cold front passes through.

Saturday and Sunday, high temperatures will be in the upper 60s, about 12 degrees cooler than normal. Monday will be the start of our transition with high temperatures in the low 70s.

Warmer weather will be making a return as warm air starts to return northward. We’ll go from the mid 70s on Tuesday into the upper 70s on Wednesday, which is expected for this ti
