PALISADE, Colo. (KREX) - The clock in downtown Palisade is ticking once again after being out of service for over 15 years, thanks to the efforts of the Palisade Rotary Club.
"I know it hasn't worked since I moved here, which is about 18 years ago," said Joan Grumley, President of the Palisade Rotary Club.
Ray Politowski, a member of the Rotary Club, took on the task of repairing the clock. "The first time was probably 2 hours because we took it all apart and took out all the old parts," Politowski explained.
Rick Fox, President of the Palisade Lions Club, said, "Isn't that exciting? Beautiful feature. Been here a long time."
Grumley expressed gratitude towards Ray Politowski for his dedication to the project, noting that he worked on it over a period of a year.
