WACO, Texas (KWTX) - The family of Noe Guerrero, a Waco construction worker arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents on July 24, told KWTX Guerrero has been released from federal custody.
KWTX has learned Guerrero is back home with his family and will have to wear an ankle monitor.
Federal criminal charges were dropped against Guerrero in early August, according to Guerrero’s attorney. Instead of being released to his family at the time, he was transferred to an immigration facility in Conroe, Texas.
A Federal Administrative Court then set his bond at $5,000, but a stay order requested by ICE was placed on Guerrero and he was held at the Conroe facility until his release this week.
