The Catholic Charities Beacon of Hope Center is looking for volunteers with cheerful attitudes and friendly demeanors to assist clients in its Isle Market Food Pantry located at the Catholic Charities’ Beacon of Hope Center in the Island Community Center at 4700 Broadway in Galveston. Volunteer shifts are available Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Extra volunteers needed on the fourth Wednesday of each month for the pantry’s outdoor food distribution. Catholic Charities needs help with stocking, helping shoppers, bagging, loading cars for the elderly and clean ups.
