The huge fire could be seen far away from the building itself

A major update has been issued on the future of a Nottingham building that suffered significant damage after erupting into flames. In April, ten fire engines were called to tackle a huge blaze at an industrial building on Beauvale Road in The Meadows .

The fire occurred after the building's owner - who had been using it for residential purposes - left to go to the shops. When he came back, he found it engulfed in flames after a propane gas tank kept in an enclosed boiler room was sparked.

The building suffered significant damage and has since sat blackened and smoke-stained, despite being on a residential street. Part of the structure has also become unstable and presents an "ongoing risk" to nearby residents, the
