FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - We started off the week with another record low temperature, as lows hit 36 degrees this morning beating out an almost 40 year old record. However, the cooler mornings will improve over the next few days as cooler air departs and temperatures rise by the middle to end of the week. Highs stay in the lower 70s today, but we will return to the 80s by the end of the week.
Unfortunately, there are still very few rain showers in the forecast with the best chance to come during the weekend. We will see a cold front approach towards the end of the day Saturday and we could see rain showers between late Saturday and early Sunday morning. Time will tell how impactful this rain could be, but regardless we do need any rain we can get.
