In the early morning of August 27th, Edmonton Police observed a suspicious vehicle parkied in the area of 85 Street at 111 Avenue. A 2007 Ford Explorer was parked in a grass field with both front doors open, with a male and a female rummaging through the vehicle.
Police approached the vehicle and found large stacks of cash and various drug-related items visible from inside the vehicle. The two subjects were taken into custody as police investigated.
An additional search was conducted which led to the discover of over half a kilogram of methamphetamine, as well as 27 grams of fentanyl, contraband cigarettes, a counterfeit firearm licence, two sawed-off shotguns, as well as ammunition, scales, knives and a collapsible baton.
