Gunfire erupted overnight in Surrey, damaging a vehicle parked outside a residence. Surrey Police received reports of shots fired in the 5800-block of 124 Street shortly after 4 a.m. on Monday. According to a police statement, the vehicle showed signs of damage consistent with gunfire.
Investigators have been engaging with local residents, but fortunately, no injuries have been reported. As of late Monday morning, police remained on the scene, focusing on gathering any available surveillance footage.
Authorities have not yet determined a motive for the shooting. They are also exploring potential links to other recent incidents of gun violence in the area.
