DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - St. Louis County is exploring options to make a popular road less dangerous for pedestrians.

Officials are taking a look at West Arrowhead Road, specifically between Haines Road and Rice Lake Road.

The county says it recognizes that, as a pedestrian or bicyclist, it is currently difficult to travel along this stretch of road due to high traffic volume and limited accommodations.

There will be a public meeting to gather input from people who travel on the road.

It is planned for Tuesday, September 23rd, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Hermantown YMCA.

There is also a virtual attendance option.
