OUTER BANKS, N.C. (WITN) - The Corolla Wild Horse Fund is sharing on Facebook that a filly was born over the weekend.
They say foaling season on the Outer Banks is winding down, and this latest arrival is the ninth new member to the herd this year.
Six fillies, two colts, and one still unconfirmed, have been born this year.
The Corolla Wild Horse Fund says, “It’s not completely out of the ordinary to have a foal born later in the fall so we still may have one or two on the way, but even if we don’t we are thrilled with this year’s crop! They are all healthy and thriving.”
People are being reminded not to encourage the horses to seek out human attention and definitely never feed them.
