CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) -- Maintenance work repairing concrete on a Route 322 bridge will start Monday, Sept. 15, PennDOT announced.

The bridge spanning Route 45, about three miles from State College in Harris Township, will undergo work to extend the life of the bridge as well as improve ride quality.

As crews are out completing repairs, eastbound traffic towards Milroy will have to take the Old Fort exit and follow the detour using Route 45 and Boal Avenue back to Route 322. Flaggers will be located at the bottom of the off-ramp to direct traffic.

Westbound traffic heading to State College will remain on Route 322, with no detour planned.

PennDOT urges drivers to remain cautious while in work zones and to obey all work zone signage as well as speed limits.
