WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Never forget and Baylor students and staff did just that gathering early at McLane Stadium to climb stairs to honor the lives lost 24 years ago on September 11, 2001.

Almost a quarter of a century ago, the United States was under attack by terrorists.

Hundreds made their way to McLane Stadium with their laces tied, to get their steps in -- but it wasn’t a typical workout. They set out to climb 2,071 steps, the exact number first responders climbed when rushing towards the chaos to save lives that day.
