Throughout this weekend, we expect hot conditions to really settle in, with highs climbing into the mid to upper 90s, especially through Wednesday. So it will feel quite summer-like, even as we head further into September.

Of note, due to dry soil conditions and deeply mixed air, our dewpoints are expected to remain low. This means the heat will feel like the actual temperature, with apparent temperatures closely matching the mercury, so a 95-degree day will feel like 95 degrees, which is still of course hotter than typical for this time of year.

Outside of a few stray shower or thunderstorm chances, this weekend, much of the region is expected to remain quite dry. This dry pattern is forecast to persist through the middle of next week. However, we're seeing a shift coming by late week.
