AUBURN — There are nine games to go, but on Saturday, Sept. 13, Auburn football got a quarter of the way through its 2025 campaign with an undefeated record.

That's been a rarity for the program, which previously had just two 3-0 starts since 2019. It beat South Alabama 31-15 for its third since then, but ironically enough, Auburn walked away standing on its shakiest ground yet.

"We've got a lot we can obviously improve on," coach Hugh Freeze said postgame. "But the goal today was to be 3-0, and 1-0 today, heading into conference play. Our team achieved that."

There may be a win to celebrate, but it's still up for debate just how good Freeze's latest team truly is.
