LUBBOCK, Texas — Oregon State’s early-season struggles continued Saturday, as the Beavers dropped a 45–14 decision to No. 21 Texas Tech in Lubbock, marking their first 0-3 start since 2011.

Texas Tech’s high-powered offense dominated, amassing over 500 yards, including 393 passing yards and four touchdowns from quarterback Behren Morton.

Six different Red Raiders found the end zone, putting Oregon State on its heels throughout the game.

For the Beavers, it was a day of missed opportunities and frustration. Quarterback Maalik Murphy completed 23 of 41 passes for 251 yards but threw two interceptions.

Texas Tech’s defense caused problems for Oregon State’s offense, limiting the rushing game and holding running back Anthony Hankerson to just 11 yards.
