Locals in part of Nuneaton were woken up to the sound of a police helicopter in the early hours of this morning. CoventryLive received reports about the police activity in the skies at around 3am this morning (September 18).
It was circling around the town centre area as well as parts of nearby Abbey Green and near Tuttle Hill. It was heard for more than half an hour.
One local, who did not want to be named, said: "It woke me up. It was up for ages." CoventryLive contacted the National Police Air Service (NPAS).
A NPAS spokesperson told us that a crew from Birmingham were dispatched following a call from Warwickshire Police. It was to help with a search for a vehicle.
