AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A man has been arrested in connection with an arson at an abandoned building in Augusta.
Cameron Perkins was arrested on Thursday, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say that on Thursday morning, they were conducting traffic control at 12th Street and Broad Street due to a large fire in an abandoned building.
On scene, witnesses told deputies that Perkins had told them he had lit the building on fire and planned to return to do it again on Friday.
