SIX MILE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - A little over a week after controversy surrounding a holiday event in Six Mile, the community is pushing for answers about fire department leadership.

Multiple viewers have reached out to FOX Carolina about alleged employment changes involving Six Mile Fire Chief Michael Barrett and Assistant Fire Chief Kendall Rampey.

On Sept. 9, Rampey and Barrett both spoke during a Six Mile Council meeting about a decision to stop candy-throwing at the town’s annual Christmas parade. Last year, town officials introduced a policy that allows candy to be handed out but not thrown.
