MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office said a woman is facing several drug charges after they investigated a suspicious vehicle at a boat landing.

Crystal Lynn Montgomery, 33, is charged with trafficking fentanyl, manufacturing a scheduled substance, possession of cocaine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Sheriff Duane Lewis said deputies were conducting extra patrols at the Cypress Gardens Boat Landing on Saturday and discovered a suspicious vehicle after a citizen mentioned that the vehicle had been there for a long time. When deputies made contact with the vehicle, they saw Montgomery and a male inside and observed a marijuana odor.

This caused deputies to conduct a probable cause search of the vehicle,
