BISMARCK, N.D. (KXNET) — Julie Schirado from the Furry Friends Rockin' Rescue braved the rain to tell everyone about a happy little puppy, Andi.
Andi, who can't be more than a few weeks old, was dropped off at the shelter. She was part of a new wave of intakes for the Rescue, a wave which has been growing a lot recently. That's why Ms. Schirado and others have been putting out the call for more people to open up their homes — temporarily anyway — to become a foster home for these animals. Puppies of course are a lot of work, but they need the care and attention just like an older dog would.
If you'd like to meet the animals, there are a couple of chances to do so coming up soon. This Saturday, the 20th, Furry Friends is sponsoring a pair of events: a marathon at and a special "pet day."
