Strictly Come Dancing fans have said that it’s ‘as it should be’ after a major change was made to the BBC series.

The 23rd season of the beloved dance programme aired on Saturday night (September 23) as 15 stars learned which of the professional dancers they’d be paired with.

Among the pairs is Thomas Skinner and Amy Dowden, Love Island’s Dani Dyer and Nikita Kuzmin, and Alex Kingston and Johannes Radebe.

The night also served as an introduction to the show’s two new professional dancers, American native Alexis Warr and Australian dancer Julian Caillon .

On top of this, the episode saw last year’s winner Chris McCausland return for one final dance with Dianne Buswell moments after singer Jessie J made her TV comeback.
