Columnist Roger Marolt is correct. Unfettered growth is the root cause of our Highway 82 traffic problem. No more new hotels!
Downvalley workers who don’t need tools can take the bus.
If you look at the composition of the traffic driving into town in the morning, 70% are pickup trucks with tradespeople coming to work. Homeowners like me are renovating their 1960s condos. Look at all the construction work going on in town.
Is their a way to accommodate them in a special way? Can we create a permit so that they can use the bus lanes, say, between 6-7 a.m. and 4-5 p.m.? Anyone have any other ideas?
Of course, the permanent answer is fix the entrance. Pick a choice and get going!
