Shamima Begum stormed out of an interview after being asked just two questions, with the reporter left gobsmacked.

The 26-year-old, who travelled from Britain in February 2015 to join ISIS at the age of 15, agreed to an interview with the Express from a camp in Syria holding tens of thousands of former jihadis.

Begum is one of these thousands of foreign-born women and children in camp, al-Roj, who were captured after ISIS was defeated by US, British and coalition forces in 2019.

The London-born woman was discovered to be one of multiple individuals who had survived the fall of ISIS and the same year the terrorist group was taken down, she was stripped of her British citizenship.
