KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department has asked people to avoid a portion of Asheville Highway because of a “serious” crash.

A post on the department’s X page said officers were investigating a crash in the 7200 block of the highway. That’s near Patty Road.

“Expect delays and seek alternate routes while crews work to clear the scene‚” KPD’s post said.

At this time, there’s no word on any injuries or deaths.
