MARION, S.C. (WBTW) -- Marion police are investigating after a man allegedly held Dollar General cashiers at gunpoint and fired shots at a witness, the department said Sunday night.
The man walked into the S. Main Street Dollar General at about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, brandished a firearm and demanded money, police said. He's accused of holding the cashiers at gunpoint while escorting them to the front of the store.
After he left the store, a witness tried to chase the man down, but stopped when the man started firing, according to police. The witness was not injured.
