ROCKFORD, Ill. — The Rockford Fire Department responded to a fire that caused about $100,000 in damages on Sunday night.

Around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, Rockford firefighters were called to the 900 block of Acorn St., where they found a four-family apartment building on fire through the roof and through three of the four units.

The firefighters stayed for three hours extinguishing the fire. The building was boarded up and no one was home at the time. There were also no injuries.

The damage is considered to be a complete loss, and the cause for the fire is still being investigated.
