KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The deadline to file a claim in a lawsuit against a soda brand that sells sparkling prebiotic drinks is this week.
Poppi is set to pay out $8.9 million in a legal settlement after being accused of false advertising.
According to the class action settlement, the company was accused of false advertising for saying its drinks were “gut healthy,” even though there was no scientific proof.
The settlement benefits consumers who purchased any flavor or package size of Poppi beverages between Jan. 23, 2020, and July 18, 2025.
Anyone who can provide proof of purchase can receive up to $0.75 per single can, $3 per four-pack, $6 per eight-pack and $9 per 12- or 15-pack.
