Volunteer pilots from North Dakota gathered in Moorhead this weekend for advanced all-weather training. North Dakota has more than 200 adult members and 120 cadets spread across squadrons in Fargo, Bismarck, Minot, and other communities. Crews will meet weekly throughout the winter, with the next statewide training planned for spring 2026.
The Minot City Council has made its recycling program optional. Previously, the program, which launched in 2023, was mandatory. Utilities Director Jason Sorenson says customers can now call and opt out if they wish to do so, at any time. Sorenson says this is now a fully voluntary program. A high dropout rate could impact future service.
