BOONE, N.C. — A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with multiple felonies after allegedly shooting into an occupied vehicle at a Circle K convenience store last Friday night, according to Boone Police.
Thomas Matthew Presnell of Vilas was detained at the scene after officers responded to a report of a male shooting into an occupied vehicle in the parking lot of the Circle K along Highway 105 South on Sept. 20.
Following an investigation, police recovered a handgun from the scene.
"I appreciate the quick and decisive response of our patrol officers," Shane Robbins, assistant chief of police, said. "Undoubtedly this prevented further escalation of this incident."
