ESPN’s Rich Cimini reported on Tuesday afternoon that the New York Jets were placing star linebacker Quincy Williams on injured reserve due to a shoulder issue.

“LB Quincy Williams (shoulder) will be placed on IR, per source. Means he will miss at least 4 games,” Cimini posted on X.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported further, noting that Williams’ injury wasn’t season-ending, but the team was still addressing the vacancy by looking to the New England Patriots practice squad.
