PITTSBURGH, Pa. (Black & Gold Nation) -- In order to succeed in the NFL you're going to have to run the ball efficiently and control the clock, and this season the Steelers have been nothing short of dreadful when trying to run the ball and have yet to even break the 100 yard barrier in a single game.

Through three games the Steelers have rushed for a total of 189 yards. That's just 63 per game and are only averaging 2.8 yards per carry, and their longest run of the season is 13 yards. That's not going to get it done in the NFL, however head coach Mike Tomlin says the game circumstances have dictated how often they've run the ball, as the Steelers have the fifth fewest rushing attempts this season.
