LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Sen. Edgar Flores was above the legal limit during his arrest on suspicion of DUI on Sept. 12, police said.
According to a release from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Flores’ blood alcohol content was 0.082 in a first sample and 0.062 in a sample taken one hour later. The legal limit for driving on a public roadway is 0.08, police said.
According to an arrest report, Flores was found near the intersection of Lamb and Lake Mead boulevards, slumped over in the driver’s seat and appearing to be asleep.
In a statement , Flores said he had been tired after a long day of work, community events, evening exercise and a late dinner.
