WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - More storms overnight mean more flooding along Bleckley Drive, near Central and Oliver in east Wichita.

On Tuesday, the Wichita City Council approved the third and final design phase for storm improvements along Bleckley.

Some living along the heavily impacted street aren’t happy with the plan.

“The city is not communicating with us,” said James Woods, who’s lived along Bleckley for eight years. “The fact of the matter is, any information I’ve gotten is because I’ve had to reach out because the city is not providing any of that to us.”

The years-long project to improve stormwater drainage along Bleckley Drive is a few months in and it’s possible that some improvements are already being seen.
