CHARLOTTE, N.C. — WCNC Charlotte has chosen to use this mugshot because of the nature of the alleged crime.
A Medic ambulance was hit by a gunshot early Thursday morning while a patient was inside, according to Medic.
It happened at the intersection of East Trade Street and South Davidson Street, which is near the headquarters for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department .
The crew and patient inside Medic Ambulance 58 were unharmed, Medic said, and the patient was taken to the hospital for an unrelated condition.
CMPD has not provided further information on the shooting at this time. However, jail records reviewed by WCNC Charlotte revealed that 27-year-old Jaquarius Mingo was arrested around 3:45 a.m., accused of shooting a pistol into the vehicle. He was charged with five counts
