STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Staten Islanders are earning more than ever before, with new data showing that the median household income is nearing $100,000.
Earlier this month, the U.S. Census Bureau released its American Community Survey 2024 1-year-estimates, with data showing that the median household income on Staten Island was $97,911 last year, the closest it’s ever been to reaching six-figures.
The $97,911 median household income on Staten Island was roughly 20% higher than the national median household income of $81,604.
An analysis of past American Community Survey 1-year-estimates shows that the median household income in the borough has risen nearly 37% over the past decade, from $71,622 in 2015 to $97,911 in 2024.
