SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) - The Sharon Historical Society is offering another opportunity to tour the former Westinghouse Electric plant after great demand during the last event.

The open-house-style tour allows attendees to walk through the building and learn about how it contributed to the war effort during World War II through the production of advanced torpedoes. Once a hub of cutting-edge innovation, the plant made electric transformers and contributed to the Shenango Valley's industrial strength.

The Historical Society will discuss the workers and the critical role that Westinghouse played in shaping naval combat technology.

The tour is recommended to history buffs, photographers or those who are simply curious about the past.
