QUEEN CREEK, Ariz. — On a typical day at the Ax family’s home in Queen Creek, 2-and-a-half-year-old twins Goldie and Violet are enjoying a tea party with their big sister Scarlett.
While the twins do share the same birthday, their personalities are completely different.
“Goldie is our sweet, but sassy, timid twin,” her mom, Lauren Ax, said. “This Violet here, she’s our wild card.”
“Violet is very friendly… Goldie is a little bit more shy,” her dad, Josh Ax, said.
You’d never know it, but Goldie and Violent experienced a tumultuous start to life before they were even born, when Lauren was just 17 weeks pregnant.
“The twins have what we call twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome,” she said.
