Sam Pittman was dismissed as Arkansas’ head coach on September 28. Since his contract was reset in 2021, he compiled a 29–26 record.

According to reporting from Andrew Hutchinson of Best of Arkansas Sports, that mark determines his buyout. Assuming the Razorbacks follow the standard terms, they would owe 75% of Pittman's remaining contract if he were fired while above .500, or 50% if below .500.

Pittman’s deal runs through 2027 with a base salary of $5.5 million, not including retention bonuses.
