BETHESDA, Md. — A crash involving a garbage truck has knocked out power to some Bethesda residents on Tuesday morning. According to a spokesperson for the fire department, the driver was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Pete Piringer, public information officer for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, said the crash happened around 10:30 a.m. in the 6600 block of Bradley Boulevard near Fernwood Road in Bethesda. According to Piringer, a garbage truck crashed and went off the road, and overturned in the woods. The truck snapped a utility pole, bringing wires down in the road.

The crash caused a fuel spill and brought wires down in the road. The road is blocked while cleanup efforts are underway. Piringer also said power is out in the area. As of 4:20
